If you are in the program standard supply, you will receive only the State report, and it will look like this (click to view full letter):
The State tracks renewable energy through NYGATS (NY General Asset Tracking System). They are working now with our suppliers on updated processes to register our renewable energy purchases so that they reflect correctly on the environmental disclosure reports. They are also looking to speed up the process a bit, so that starting in late 2020 (for 2019 purchases) there will no longer be two reports with different content. The 2018 reports will still show this disconnect between our renewable energy purchase and the State report and we suspect these will issue in early 2020. This is all a bit confusing and a little bureaucratic for sure and we look forward to the update and simplification of the reporting system. The important thing is that cumulative greenhouse gas mitigation through program purchases by residents and small businesses in the 27 participating municipalities have reached over 500,000 Tons of CO2 equivalent, and we continue to build critical environmental programming on top of this amazing platform.
