Westchester’s Smarter Energy Choice
Westchester Power is a community-based energy purchasing program intended to lower costs and increase the use of renewable energy in Westchester County. Our non-profit program empowers residents and small businesses to make smarter energy choices that are better for their budget and our environment.
Westchester Power will give customers the opportunity to source power at competitive rates, stabilize monthly expenses and gain unprecedented access to their consumption information thereby enabling smarter, more informed choices. Rates for Westchester Power customers will be lower priced than the 12-month average for 2015 for Con Edison and NYSEG. The rate is fixed for 24-36 months. (Con Edison territory 24, NYSEG territory 36)
Best of All Worlds
Westchester Power will provide more affordable, cleaner power while your existing utility, Con Edison or NYSEG, continues to deliver electricity, maintain power lines and respond to service outages.
Westchester Power offers a community-based alternative to the state-mandated utility (Con Edison or NYSEG). Westchester Power is a non-profit program that represents the best interests of consumers — low, stable prices and clean energy.
100% Renewable Energy
Every consumer in the Westchester Power program will have the choice of buying 100% renewable supply for all of their electric needs.

Reliable, Transparent Program
Westchester Power is administered by a local staff dedicated to educating and informing customers of their choices. Westchester Power will publish rate information and program options through its website. The Westchester Power staff is available to visit with local community groups, service organizations, homeowner associations or business groups to explain both this program and other exciting opportunities that come from aggregating so many customers.
Over 5 million customers in seven states nation-wide benefit from Community Choice Aggregation programs: California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Rhode Island. Our Westchester Power Program is the very first in New York State. We have had the benefit of learning from the best practices in hundreds of aggregation programs in other states.
